Born is Sanford, Brenda’s family moved to NY when she was 6. She grew up in Queens NY. Brenda holds a degree in Biology from Rutgers and also one in Interdisciplinary Studies from NY Institute of Technology. Brenda returned to NC in 2015 and quickly became involved in the community, championing for Equity and Accessibility by launching the BelFlex Jr. Mentoring program designed to re-focus at-risk high school juniors and seniors. Brenda has been employed with BelFlex Staffing Network for a little over 6 years as the Business Development Manager & Community Liaison. Over the last six years Brenda has designed and conducted training workshops for students, community members, business leaders as well as peers in HR. Brenda is a former board member for the Sanford Area Growth Alliance where in 2021, she was recognized as the most dedicated Board Member. Brenda continues to have community impact serving on numerous other boards such as United Way of Lee County, Fayetteville Area SHRM as DEI Chair, CCSHRM as Membership Chair and the N.C. SHRM Council, DEI Director. Brenda’s most cherished achievement is that of mom to her two children, Justin and Tahvia.
